ID-Certify Deployment
Following are the typical steps to install ID-Certify®:
- Design, configuration
- Design phase: identify target systems and security groups that represent a security risk worth auditing.
- Install ID-Certify software.
- Configure integration with each target system and group. Verify correct operation of account-deactivate and group-membership-detach operations.
- Define appropriate, user-comprehendable descriptions for target systems and groups.
- Author appropriate HTML help pages for less-than-obvious systems and applications.
- Roll out:
- Demonstrate to security administrators, accept feedback and adjust system as required.
- Demonstrate to help desk staff, accept feedback and adjust system as required.
- Assist help desk staff in developing support procedures for the user inquiries that will arise once the system is deployed.
- Pilot test with IT users.
- Pilot test with business users.
- Roll out to group owners, application owners and managers as appropriate.
